Seven Steps to Peace

  1. Disarmed, without effort or manipulation, I tune in to the True Self.
  2. Suffering is caused by believing my thoughts and can be relieved by questioning my thoughts.
  3. I am the space through which experience passes. Peace is my natural state.
  4. I sense that which takes delight in each moment even when my personality may not.
  5. I open to that which requires nothing beyond what is given and engages without attachment.
  6. I allow myself to live from the space of I don’t know.
  7. I relax as the living pulse of being, as the essence of experiencing.

Seven Steps to Peace Groups

Grow in community!

The Seven Steps relax our desire to control and instead tune us in to the sufficiency and preciousness of the present moment. When we read them meditatively through the day, we receive similar benefits as from meditation.

Suppose we discover a medical test has come back abnormal or a project has been derailed. When we read the Seven Steps to Peace, we connect with our timeless essence. Our constrictions start to open, and we remember that we don’t know the whole picture.

The Seven Steps to Peace Groups help us connect with our inner teacher. These newly forming groups

  • meditate for 30 minutes
  • read the Seven Steps to Peace with a description of one of the steps
  • read the group guidelines
  • share (if they want) personal situations from their lives where they are learning to see or want to see how they can connect to their true nature during day-to-day experiences.

These groups cultivate our ability to focus on both our true nature AND on daily life experiences simultaneously so that we access peace and freedom even during life’s surprises.

What we pay attention to grows!
